midableGOODWICK United made a strong start to their new campaign in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire League division one on Tuesday night as they kicked-off with a con-vincing 4-1 home win over Johnston.

United went into the game in confident mood after a positive pre-season that had seen them beat Merlins Bridge on penalties in the final of the Eddie Merrie Tournament, as well as beating Cardigan Town in the final of the John Bailey Tournament.

Goals from Rhys Dalling, Kieran O’Brien, Rob Morgans and Lewis Banks ensured that United breezed towards their first points of the season with a solid performance, whilst Ross Williams replied or Johnston.For full report see County Echo
